Governance (NHMS Bylaws)
The Legislative Committee shall be chaired by the President, and shall consist of Committee members drawn from various medical specialties and geographic areas of New Hampshire, a Director-at-Large, the CEO, and the Society’s Advocacy Director. The committee shall concern itself with state and federal legislation that impacts patients, physicians, public health, insurance, medical liability, etc. The Committee shall make recommendations on policies, positions, and provide general strategic advice to the NHMS Council.

Much of the information available on the Advocacy web pages is available to logged in user who are members of the legislative committee, Council, or Board. Please respect that the information provided to the Legislative Committee and NHMS Council are working documents. The positions and strategies of the Society should be for use and advocacy on behalf of the Medical Society and New Hampshire physicians. Using or sharing sensitive information with others who may use the information adversely is prohibited.
